Templates look like templates. Agencies take months. A dated site costs you customers you never meet.

A customer hears your name, looks you up, and decides in about ten seconds. Alder builds sites that look like the businesses people already trust, sized for a business of one to eight people.

How it works

You see it before you commit.

  1. You tell us about your business.

Reply to an email or book a call. A few minutes on what you do and who you serve is all we need.

  2. We build a first look.

We design the opening pages of your new site with your real name, services, and voice, then walk you through it on a call.

  3. You decide. We launch in seven days.

Say yes and we move it to your domain, connect your email and booking, and hand you the keys. If it is not for you, you owe nothing.

Built to a standard, not a template.

Cole Seifert, founder of Alder

One person, every detail.

Alder is run by Cole Seifert, a designer and developer based in San Francisco. Every site is built by hand, not assembled from a theme.

The name comes from Oregon, where Cole grew up. Alder is the first tree to grow back after a clearing: fast, useful, and the reason the rest of the forest can follow.

The obvious questions.

Is the first look really free?

Yes. We build it so you can judge real work instead of a pitch. If it is not for you, you owe nothing.

What does a site cost?

It depends on the size of the business and the site. We give you a fixed number on the call, before you commit to anything.

How long until it is live?

Seven days from yes, usually less. Your domain, email, and booking stay exactly as they are.

Do I have to write anything?

No. We draft every word from what is public about your business, and you correct it.

Who owns the site?

You do. Code, domain, and content are yours from day one.

What if I already have a site?

Most small businesses do. We keep what works, replace what does not, and redirect every old address so nothing breaks.

Ready to see yours?

No deck. We show you what we would build for your business.
